Much to see and do! First, read this grand article by Geoff Herbach about the TIC reading.
It was published on www.mnartists.org on March 10.

Reader's Art 8 opened March 14. What a beautiful show! 20 artists from 11 states and Canada sent glorious books, most using handmade paper. To choose theses twenty artists and their 42 artworks, I had to view around 200 jpg's and slides. What a process that was! So much good work is being done, it really was daunting to choose.

If you go to the gallery website, you can see more pictures of the individual artists work and the show installed.

Celestial Navigation..the final programs

Talking Image Connection wrote their hearts out and read the evening of February 23 to a packed house. Most of the time the gallery space does not seem "too small." This was one of the other times... The reading was strong, exciting, at times uproarious, and just plain wonderful. The chapbook sold out immediately.

The final event, before pack-up, was a breakfast hosted by Karen Hanmer for friends of the gallery and fans of her work. The fine fruits, pastries and excellent coffee were catered by the Firefly Bistro2, right next door to the gallery. We were especially pleased to feed the teenagers of the Minnesota Center for Book Arts In Design program.

Do watch this space. Reader's Art 8 is coming soon!
